Count Dracula was just a character in the well known Bram Stoker's novel called Dracula. He was inspired by one of the leaders in the history of Romania, Vlad Dracul, who was the father of Vlad the Impaler. Vlad the Impaler was the leader of Walachia somewhere between 1456 and 1462. He was borne in 1413 in Sighisoara city, and he lived there all his adult life,except for the time when he was imprisoned in Pest and Visegrad, in Hungary ( Romania Tourism ,2011 ). The truth behind the story of Dracula is that, Vlad the Impaler was a very honest leader and he thought that he needs to take some measures against the theft, laziness and other bad things that were happening around that time. He wanted the people to feel scared and was using as a negative example the people that were punished in order to ensure that people will not even think of doing mischief .
